In the act of teaching, it is important to use a variety of learning modalities when introducing material to the students.
In this unit, students were encouraged to contemplate violence deescalation by considering situations where a conflict could escalate to violence, and the actions they might take to avoid this outcome. They would make their situation into a short 2-minute film that showed the deesaclation process.
